ZAMBIAN JEWELER PROUDLY MARKETS LOCAL GEMSTONES IN US

Renowned Zambian Jeweler Rashmi Sharma last night held a successful gemstone show at which she showcased some of Zambia’s rich stones which include tourmalines, aquamarine and amethyst.
In a statement to ZANIS in Lusaka today, Charge d’ affairs at the Zambian embassy in Washington DC Ben Kangwa commended Ms Sharma for marketing Zambian gemstones in America.
Mr Kangwa further applauded Ms Sharma for taking part in the exhibition as it markets Zambia’s tourism potential.
He said there has been an increased recognition of Zambia by the United States (US) both as an investment potential and a tourist destination choice.
Mr Kangwa noted that the just ended US trade mission to Zambia led by Commerce International Trade Secretary, Francisco Sanchez which included 11 US companies is a clear testimony that Zambia is gaining recognition in investment.
And Ms Sharma said Zambia has high value gemstones that are slowly being acknowledged as high grade gemstone.
