Hakainde Hichilema |
OPPOSITION UPND president Hakainde Hichilema has accused Patriotic Front president Michael Sata of peddling lies over the collapse of the UPND/PF pact.
Featuring on UNZA radio programme, Hichilema dismissed as lies remarks attributed to Sata that the opposition leaders had been meeting after the collapse of the pact.
Hichilema maintained that his party was not ready to reconcile with PF over the collapse of the pact because it was marred with insincerity.
He wondered why the PF was calling for dialogue now that the pact had collapsed when they failed to respond to UPND continued call for a meeting to discuss matters regarding the pact.
Hichilema said now that the pact had collapsed, his party would focus on moving forward for the good of Zambians and the county.
PF chairman for local government, Given Lubinda has also accused Hichilema of lying over his claims that the pact collapsed because the PF wanted to implement homosexuality.
Lubinda said homosexuality was not a subject of discussion in the collapsed pact.
