ZAMBIANS ABROAD COMMEND RB OVER LIBYA EVACUATION

Zambia Association in South Africa (ZASA) chairperson Ediwn Mwitumwa Mununga has commended President Rupiah Bwezani Banda’s government for evacuating Zambians living in Libya.
In a statement, Mungunga stated that government’s laudable intervention was executed in a timely manner.
“As a Diaspora association, we are immensely pleased and delighted that our Government can respond in this expeditious manner when the lives of Zambians are at stake and risk,” stated Mununga. “We note with satisfaction that the Government chartered a Zambezi Airlines plane for the purpose - this is highly appreciated as it is an act that supports Zambian business and therefore jobs. As an Association, we work closely with Zambezi Airlines who have supported the Association activities on numerous occasions.”
Mununga urged President Banda’s government to continue with its level of commitment to the service of Zambians living abroad.
