BOZ TO INTRODUCE NEW NOTES


The Bank of Zambia will soon introduce kwacha notes of higher value, beyond the current 50,000.
According to sources with BOZ, the revision of the current notes in circulation has since commenced, which will lead to a phase out period of banknotes with lost value as well as the possible re-introduction of coins.
According to sources, director of banking and currency services at the central bank, Edna Mudenda has explained that the coins will be of higher value.
