RB FLIES BACK TO LUSAKA, AFTER HIS SUCCESSFUL NORTHERN TOUR

President Rupiah Banda has left Kasama, Northern province for Lusaka after his successful tour of the province.
Mr. Banda, accompanied by a high level of government and MMD officials who included his Special Assistant for Press and Public Relation Dickson Jere,  left at 15-00 hours at Kasama Airport at about Zambia Air Force plane.
ZANIS reports from Kasama that, that the President Banda was in the province on a four 4-day working visit went to Mbala, Mpulungu and Nakonde districts.
Whilst in the area, Mr. Banda held a series of campaign rallies in the four districts where he urged party members not to relent but work extra hard to win next month's elections.
He among other things commissioned the newly constructed houses for police officers in Kasama.
The President also flagged off the tarring of the K420 billion Kasama/Mporokoso road and commissioned the K120 billion Kasama/Luwingu roads.
He also commissioned the ground breaking of the Mbesuma bridge in Malole in Kasama.
Mr. Banda also held meetings with civil servants where he said government is aware of the plight of civil servants.
The Head of state was seen off by Northern province Permanent Secretary Lightwell Chongo, defense chiefs and senior government officials.
