The International Fellowship of Christian Churches
(IFCC) has called on Zambians to desist for spreading wrong prophesies about
the outcome of the elections if peace is to be upheld in the country.
And IFCC President Bishop Simon Chihana has disclosed
that Zambians should desist from spreading false rumors that Prophet TB Joshua
of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) in Nigeria.
Bishop Chihana said it is untrue that Prophet Joshua
recently prophesized that there will be bloodshed in Zambia and that an opposition
leader will win the elections.
The clergyman said this during a briefing in Lusaka today.
He explained that the Prophet had infact
refuted the allegations this morning during his church service and that he has
received so many emails from Zambia asking him about the same.
Bishop Chihana has said that Zambians should remain
united as they will be choosing their leaders that they will entrust with the
leadership of this country on Tuesday.
He said that it is imperative for the people to
remain united during and after elections.
Bishop Chihana told Journalists in a briefing in Lusaka today that
Zambians should adhere to the electoral code of conduct during and after the
elections.
Meanwhile, the clergy man has appealed to all
elections contestants to accept the results as this was the only way the
country can remain united.
And speaking at the same occasion, IFCC vice
president Bishop Jack Musumba has called on all Zambians who are eligible
voters to turn out in large numbers on Tuesday to go and cast their votes.
Bishop Musumba said that this is the only time the
people can make their rightful decisions by voting for the leaders of the
choice.
He said that Zambia is a haven of peace and
therefore it is important that people make the right decisions.
