INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT PRIORITY - KAUNDA

Government says Infrastructure Development is one of the priorities of the government as a way to create of jobs for the people.
Deputy Minister of Transport, Works and Supply and Communication Col Panji Kaunda said as per promise to the Zambian people, the PF government will strive to see to it that all necessary infrastructures in the country were improved.
Col Panji who is on tour of Southern and Western provinces said this when he paid a courtesy call on Southern province Minister Obvious Mwaliteta in his office today.
He said that the creation of new districts and other provincial centers will also create jobs for Zambians.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Minister left for mulobezi by train to  inspect the mulobezi railway line in Western province.
He said that even if it takes four days to reach Mulobezi he was ready for the challenge so that he could experience firsthand problems in the railway system.
And Southern Province minister Odvious Mwaliteta said that the previous regime did not take good care of the railway line infrastructure.
He advised that Zambians to support the PF government in its quest to restore infrastructure which was abandoned and neglected.
Mr. Mwaliteta further thanked Col Panji for taking the courage to travel by train and see for himself the hardships passengers using the dilapidated Mulobezi train face.
The Deputy Minister is on a ten day tour of Western province and is also expected to inspect the  Kalabo and Lukulu harbors while in the Province.
