THE IEG Global committee and Africa Weekly Newspaper readers have voted for former United Nations (UN) general secretary Kofi Annan to receive the Outstanding Achievement Award, IEG Global chief executive officer Jordan Kensington has announced in a statement.

Kensington stated that Annan would receive the ward during the Global African Business Awards 2011 (GABA) expected to take place at Durban’s International Convention Centre in South Africa on July 9.
Kensington explained that Annan was being awarded for his continuous and consistent work in inspiring, promoting and working on sustainable development, peace and security within the continent.
