LIONS UNDERGO LEADERSHIP TRAINING

Lions International has started training its members to motivate them run their clubs properly.
Lions International Director Babajiele Lawal said the training will among other things help identify and develop leaders at club level and mentor them into improving services to communities.
ZANIS reports that Mr. Lawal noted that a lot of Lions club members were losing interest in the association because leadership training was missing.
He said this at the official opening of Lions Regional Leadership Institute Conference in Lusaka today.
Mr. Lawal urged trainees to ensure that they apply the knowledge they will acquire for self development, membership growth and service activities.
At the same event, District Governor for district 413 Godfrey Chileshe said the conference was important because it will help improve the running of Lion Clubs.
The two- day conference has drawn participants from Zambia’s District 413 and District 412, comprising Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Malawi and Botswana.
