TUTU CONGRATULATED OVER FIFA HONOUR

Anglican Archbishop of Cape Town Thabo Makgoba has congratulated Archbishop Desmond Tutu for being honoured with the FIFA Presidential Award.
The award was presented by FIFA President Sepp Blatter during the FIFA Ballon d'Or 2010 soccer awards ceremony in Zurich, Switzerland, on Monday.
Blatter awarded the Archbishop the award for his outstanding commitment to youth development worldwide and his contribution to the use of football as a catalyst for positive social change.
The award is bestowed upon a person or institution that has made a superlative contribution to football without seeking to monopolise the limelight.
"We are so proud of him! Once again he has shown how, in any and every context, he is able to continue to play a reconciling role in his
public ministry, in this country, on this continent, and throughout the world," Makgoba said.
Meanwhile, World Cup holder Spain on Tuesday confirmed it will return to South Africa within the next few months to play an African X1 and thank people who were responsible for the successful 2010 FIFA World Cup.
