Two juveniles were over the weekend struck dead by lightning in Solwezi’s Kyawama compound in North western Province while the third one has been admitted to Solwezi General Hospital.
Northwestern Province Police Chief Charles Lungu who confirmed the incident to ZANIS in Solwezi today said the incident happened in Kyawama compound on Friday around 15 30 pm near bush baby bar.
Mr Lungu said the two boys aged 16, and two years died on the spot and that no burns were physically found on the dead bodies adding that another three- year- old boy was in Solwezi general hospital receiving treatment.
When contacted for a comment Solwezi General Hospital Executive Director Dr Simon Kunda declined to comment on the condition of the three-year- old boy.
